This was the website I used in order to choose a song for my music video . This website was useful to me finding a song because all the songs were non copyright music so it enabled me to upload footage with their music with their permission.

Purpose of music promo video

The purpose of a music video is to raise the profile of an artist and to attract more viewers. If a video is successful then it means the artist is too, the video is a way of the artist interacting with their fans and get a message or a specific imagine across.

Non-copyright music

What is copyright?

Copyright is a form of protection provided to the authors of “original works” and includes such things as literary, dramatic, musical, artistic, and certain other intellectual creations, both published and unpublished. Copyright does not protect ideas. It only protects the specific and original expression of the idea. A good example of this is that there are many films and books based on the classic boy meets girl theme in which the girl’s parents disapprove of boy and after many tears, true love finally triumphs. This theme cannot be monopolised, but original works to it can be. Why is it important?

It is important so other do not steal the music and sell it as their own that is why there are now many issues and why i can not just use any song without permission because i could get fined or prosecuted so i need to find a way in contacting the artist or their managers or anyone who can answer and give me permission for it to allow me to use it for my school music video.

Lil Wayne - How To Love

This is my favourite music video but it has a variety of conventions that adds value to the song and meaning behind it being sung. There are flashbacks, tears which add true emotion and Lil Wayne scene of just him singing and slow rapping.
The video holds the audiences attention with the beautiful story it is presenting, and the lip sinking was done perfectly by Lil Wayne, it makes the song better than it already is.
